Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 September 2026
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the website deepfield-ai.com (the "Website") and of the DeepField research platform, including its survey and interview pages (the "Platform"). They apply to every person who uses the Website or the Platform ("you"): visitors, users authorised by our customers ("Authorised Users") and people who take part in a study ("Participants").
Additional terms may apply:
Customers (research agencies, consultancies and companies that contract with DeepField) are also bound by the General Terms of Service (www.deepfield-ai.com/general-terms) and their order form. For Customers and their Authorised Users, those documents prevail over these Terms of Use if they conflict.
Participants also receive the study's introduction and consent information from the organisation that runs the study. That information describes the study, how your data will be used and any incentive.
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy (www.deepfield-ai.com/privacy).

2. Acceptance
By accessing the Website or the Platform, you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not accept them, do not use the Website or the Platform.
3. What DeepField does
DeepField provides software that research professionals use to design, run and analyse studies. The Customer that runs a study, and where relevant its own client (the "Research Sponsor"), decides the study's purpose, questions, audience and use of the results. DeepField is not responsible for the content of studies designed by Customers.
DeepField is not a panel company. When you are recruited through a panel or recruitment company, that company manages your membership and pays any incentive according to its own rules.
4. Accounts and Authorised Users
If you have an account on the Platform, you must:
provide accurate information and keep it up to date;
keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account;
use multi-factor authentication where it is offered or required by your organisation;
tell us and your organisation immediately at contact@deepfield-ai.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Actions performed through your account are attributed to you and to the organisation that gave you access.
5. Taking part in a study
5.1 Participation is voluntary. You may stop at any time. You may skip questions where the study allows it. Stopping early may affect your eligibility for an incentive under the rules of the company that invited you. You must meet the eligibility criteria stated for the study. Studies are intended for people aged 18 or over unless the organisation running the study has specifically designed it for younger participants and obtained the required parental consent.
5.2 AI interviewer. Some studies use an AI system to ask questions and follow-up questions based on your answers. You are told when you are interacting with an AI interviewer. The AI interviewer asks questions only. It does not give advice, and its questions do not express the views of DeepField or of the Research Sponsor.
5.3 Voice and video answers. Where a study offers voice or video answers, recording starts only after you allow access to your microphone or camera. Recordings are stored and transcribed for the study. Please make sure that no one else can be seen or heard in your recording. Do not share personal information about other people or sensitive information that the question does not ask for. Where the study allows it, you can answer in text instead.
5.4 Honest and genuine participation. You agree to answer honestly and to take part only once in each study unless invited again. You must not use bots, scripts, AI-generated answers, multiple identities or tools designed to hide your location or device in order to qualify or complete a study. The Platform checks response quality, for example completion speed, answer consistency and duplicate participation. Researchers review flagged responses and may exclude those that do not meet the study's quality standards. The company that invited you may be informed of the outcome.
5.5 Confidential study material. Studies may show you concepts, products, advertising or other material that is not yet public. You must not copy, record, photograph, share or publish it.
5.6 Health-related studies. Nothing in a study is medical advice. In studies conducted for pharmaceutical or healthcare companies, if you mention a side effect or other adverse event related to a company's product, the Research Sponsor may be legally required to record it and report it to the competent authorities. The study's consent information explains how this works.
5.7 Your answers. You keep the rights you have in your answers. You grant the organisation running the study, the Research Sponsor and DeepField as their service provider a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your answers, recordings and transcripts solely for the purposes of the study described in its consent information, including analysis and reporting of results. This licence lasts for as long as the data is retained for the study. Any use of your voice or image beyond the study requires your specific consent.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
use the Website or the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, discriminatory or harmful purpose;
upload malware or content that infringes the rights of others;
attempt to gain unauthorised access, test or bypass security measures, or interfere with the operation of the Website or the Platform;
scrape, extract or copy content or data by automated means, or send excessive automated requests;
reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code, models, prompts or logic of the Platform, except where the law expressly allows it;
use the Website, the Platform or their outputs to build a competing service or to train AI models;
impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
7. Intellectual property
The Website, the Platform and their content, including software, interfaces, text, graphics, trademarks and logos, belong to DeepField or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view the Website and use the Platform only as these Terms of Use and, where applicable, your organisation's contract allow. No other right is granted. The DeepField name and logo may not be used without our prior written consent.
8. AI-generated content
The Platform uses AI to generate content such as questions, transcripts, summaries and analyses. AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate. It must be reviewed by a qualified person before it is relied on. It is not professional, medical, legal or financial advice.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Website and the Platform available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, change features or suspend access where needed for security, legal or technical reasons. Customers' commitments on availability are set out in their contract.
10. Suspension of access
We may suspend or end your access, without prior notice where urgent, if you breach these Terms of Use, if your use creates a security risk or harms other users, or if the law requires it.
11. Third-party services
The Website and the Platform may link to or rely on third-party services, such as the website of the company that invited you to a study. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. DeepField is not responsible for them.
12. Liability
DeepField is liable only for damage that results directly from its own breach of these Terms of Use. DeepField is not liable for damage caused by your breach of these Terms of Use, by third-party services, or by force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code. For Customers and their Authorised Users, liability is governed exclusively by the Customer's contract with DeepField. Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, DeepField's liability towards consumers under mandatory law, or the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
13. Changes to these Terms of Use
We may update these Terms of Use. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will inform you of material changes before they take effect, for example by a notice on the Website or in the Platform. Changes do not apply to studies you have already started or completed. If you do not accept them, you may stop using the Website and the Platform.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms of Use are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the competent courts of that country or of France. If you act as a professional and both of us are merchants, the competent courts within the jurisdiction of the Paris Court of Appeal have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, please contact us at contact@deepfield-ai.com so that we can try to resolve the issue amicably.
